The town was shocked to hear early Sunday morning that Mr. Frank Newsome had been killed in Charlotte Saturday night by falling from a third story window of his room. The body was brought here Sunday morning on the eleven-thirty train and buried in this cemetery. Mr Newsome was the second son of Mr. R. C. Newsome and was born and raised in Marshville. The town was shocked to hear early Sunday morning that Mr. Frank Newsome had been killed in Charlotte Saturday night by falling from a third story window of his room. The body was brought here Sunday morning on the eleven-thirty train and buried in this cemetery. Mr Newsome was the second son of Mr. R. C. Newsome and was born and raised in Marshville. Two or more years ago he went to Charlotte to work at Efird's Department Store. He had made good in this position, and was well liked by his employers and fellow-workers. He was about twenty-one years of age, of handsome appearance and pleasing personality. His untimely death was great shock to many friends besides his family. He is survive by his parents and several brothers and sisters. A number of friends from Charlotte accompanied the remains to Marshville, and a quantity of floral designs were sent, one especially lovely design from Efird's Department Store.
