Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the United Methodist church in Lewellen. He was born Frank Tracy, son of Morse P. and Louisa (McNaught) Clary, August 22, 1885, at Bagley, Iowa. At the time of his death his age was 84 years and 20 days. As a baby he came with his parents to Big Springs in 1886 and received his elementary schooling in Deuel county. Later he entered Fremont college and a business course after which he sold insurance in the St. Paul - Minneapolis area for some years. During World War I he was a member of the armed forces, receiving his discharge after it was over. He retained an interest in politics and government and spent a great deal of time reading and keeping up on current events. After retiring, he lived much of his time with his sister, Jocie Clary, at Lewellen. One other sister and two brothers preceded him in death. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Cora Maude Collins of Des Moines, and Mrs. Nona Brown and Jodie Clary of Lewellen; one brother, Oren Clary of Lewellen; 14 nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Rev. David Tarver officiated at final rites. Mrs. Howard Newkirk and Mrs. J. L. Kats sang twos numbers accompanied by Mrs. Harold Burdick at the organ. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Weinsheim, Fred Koberstein, Melvin White, Clayton Brunt, John Ross, J. C. Schlater, Bill Leeper, I. E. Tilgner, Paul D. Temple, Ira Paisley and Archie Johnson. Active pallbearers were Cliff Polk, Paul E. Temple, Jack McConhell, Tim Sullivan, Glenn McCormac and William Keisel. Interment was in the family plot in Ash Hollow cemetery at Lewellen with Holechek Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
