Frank W. Baker was born in Pleasant Township, Steuben County, Ind., Feb 16, 1866. His parents, Edward and Susan Baker, were both natives of England. They were married in England, and two children were born in England. Five other children were born in this country of whom Frank Baker was the youngest. Just one survives, Edward Baker, three sisters having preceded him.
Mr. Baker grew to manhood on his father's farm in Steuben County. Farming was his profession and he followed this his entire life.

Mr. Baker grew to manhood on his father's farm in Steuben County. Farming was his profession and he followed this his entire life.
July 3, 1892, he married Miss Loma Wolf also of Steuben County. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Angola.
Mr. and Mrs. Baker have four daughters, Mrs. Blanch Hosack, of Angola; Mrs. Lola Walter, of LaGrange; Mrs. Cora Essex, of DeWitt, Ark.; and Mrs. Mildred MacFadyen of Arkadelphia, Ark. They also have twelve grandchildren.
Mr. Baker died at Cameron Hospital on Wednesday evening, Aug. 2.
Home, for him, was all for livin',
filled his heart with pride,
And his doors were ever open,
latch strings hang outside.
Folks who came were always welcome,
loved to have them round:
Wanted much of joy and laughter,
seemed to love the sound.
Had his cares and had his troubles,
same as all of us;
Figured them a part of livin' never made much fuss:
Made the best of all God gave him,
as through life he went.
Ever toiling, giving, taking, kind and provident.
Vain the tribute we would pay him,
words cannot express
What it meant to have him with us and our thankfulness;
Sweet, the memory he has left us,
though our hearts are sad;
Great the blessing that was given,
just to call him Dad.
Funeral services were conducted at his farm home two miles west of Angola, Aug. 10, at 2:00 p.m. by Eld. J. O. Rose, and old friend assisted by J. J. Whitehouse, pastor of the Angola Church of Christ, and the burial was in Circle Hill Cemetery.
