Description	:	MR. FRANK W. WHITE died at St. Joseph, Mo., September 4, 1903, aged 29 years, 3 months and 6 days. Prior to his illness he was a compositor in the Herald office during several years. He was a son of MR. VALENTINE and MRS. MARTHA A. WHITE, and was born in Sandwich, Illinois, in 1873, where his mother died in 1876. He came here with his father and brothers and sisters in 1878. WHITE died at St. Joseph, Mo., September 4, 1903, aged 29 years, 3 months and 6 days. Prior to his illness he was a compositor in the Herald office during several years. He was a son of MR. VALENTINE and MRS. MARTHA A. WHITE, and was born in Sandwich, Illinois, in 1873, where his mother died in 1876. He came here with his father and brothers and sisters in 1878. By an accident one knee was injured, resulting in its becoming crooked. It grew more painful, yet he continued bravely at work. Last spring it was thought it might be saved by an operation to straighten it. So one was had, and later another, but finally amputation had to be made. This, with a malaria attack that he had about that time, caused his weakened body to fail so that death released him from his sufferings. His wife and child were by him all through the months of trial, and she feels deeply the great loss. MR. and MRS. VALENTINE WHITE came with FRANK's wife from St. Joe. on Saturday evening, and funeral services were held at the Saint's Chapel on Sunday afternoon, Elder H.H. Stebbins preaching the sermon, Elder John Smith assisting. The Herald office employees were present as mourners and six of the force acted as bearers in laying the body to rest.
