Description	:	Frankie Reaves Alford July 19, 1950 - August 28, 2019 Frankie R. Alford, age 69 died Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Mr. Alford was born in Conway, a son of the late Dewey Reaves and Mattie Mae Richardson Alford. Mr. Alford was employed by the Piggly Wiggly and A and P grocery stores and Palmetto Chevrolet during high school and as a young adult. Prior to retirement, he was employed by UPS for 37 years where he delivered packages in the Pawley's Island area for many years as well as other parts of Horry and Georgetown counties.... Mr. Alford was born in Conway, a son of the late Dewey Reaves and Mattie Mae Richardson Alford. Mr. Alford was employed by the Piggly Wiggly and A and P grocery stores and Palmetto Chevrolet during high school and as a young adult. Prior to retirement, he was employed by UPS for 37 years where he delivered packages in the Pawley's Island area for many years as well as other parts of Horry and Georgetown counties. He was predeceased by his wife, Amanda K. Alford, two brothers, Thomas Alford and LeGrand Alford and two sisters, Virginia Reed and Ellen Allen. In recent years, Mr. Alford attended Jamestown Baptist Church for many years and more recently attended First United Methodist Church in Conway. Surviving are: one daughter, Amanda A. Roof and husband Justin of Conway; one son, Clayton R. Alford of Conway; and four grandchildren, Amanda Gray Alford, Anna Claire Roof, Dylan Roof, and Andrew Roof. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Am Saturday from First United Methodist Church in Conway with Rev. Kyle Randle officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends in the First United Methodist Church Commons from 9:30 until 10:45 AM Saturday. Memorials may be sent to the United Way of Horry County, P.O.
