He was born in Luke, MD on September 15, 1927 and was the son of the late Earl C. Woy and Rachael R. (Gross) Woy. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marion Wilson and three brothers, William, Richard and Robert (Pete) Woy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Woy, 83 of Marsh Av., Westernport, MD died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Luke, MD on September 15, 1927 and was the son of the late Earl C. Woy and Rachael R. (Gross) Woy. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marion Wilson and three brothers, William, Richard and Robert (Pete) Woy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Frank was a member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport, MD. He was a 1947 graduate of Bruce High School in Westernport, MD. He retired from Westvaco with 42 year of service as an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW electrical Union. He was a member of Victory Post 155 American Legion in Westernport and a member of the legion pool League. He served on the Board of Directors of WEPCO Federal Credit Union for 41 years and was Vice- Chairman for most of that time. He and his wife were very active in the former El Fidel. He really liked taking pictures of all kinds of things and he was a great woodcarver. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary ebecca "Boots" (Welsh) Woy; one son Bert Woy of Piedmont, WV and two daughters, Cindy Glass and husband Jim of Westernport and Diana "Dobee" Moorehead and husband Jimmy of Westernport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angela Salesky and her husband Jason, Seth Glass and his wife Carrie, Josh Glass and his wife Natalie, Trevor Lewis and his wife Stephanie, Tyler Lewis, and Taryn (Lewis) Wascher. He is also survived by 10 Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont, WV on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Westernport at 11 A.M. with Monsignors Richard Woy and James Hannon as co-celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Seth and Josh Glass, Trevor and Tyler Lewis and his two son-in laws, Jim Glass and Jimmy Moorehead. The family request that memorials for Frank be sent to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 123 Church St., Westernport, MD for the Improvement Fund or the Westernport Senior Center. The family would like to express there thanks to the Staff of the Western Maryland Home Hospice for the loving care. given to Frank during his illness.
