Description	:	Franklin Edward Miller Sr., 87, of Luray, died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 at Page Memorial Hospital. He was born on Nov. 25, 1916, in Luray and was a son of the late Otha Clarence and Lydia Beahm Miller. Mr. Miller was a textile worker at the Virginia Oak Tannery for 40 years and was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church. On July 31, 1934, he married the former Margaret Virginia Fox, who survives. He was born on Nov. 25, 1916, in Luray and was a son of the late Otha Clarence and Lydia Beahm Miller. Mr. Miller was a textile worker at the Virginia Oak Tannery for 40 years and was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church. On July 31, 1934, he married the former Margaret Virginia Fox, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Betty Smeltzer of Rileyville and Phyllis Richard of Luray; a son John Alton of Luray; two sisters, Maxine Faine and Velva Rega, both of Luray; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Franklin E. ‘Bugeye' Miller Jr.; a sister Mildred Miller and two brothers, Jack and Harold Miller. A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Buddy L. Caviness. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
