Description	:	Franklin Eitel Sease, age 99, died in the early morning hours on November 17, 2016 at Lexington Extended Care, Lexington, SC, following a three-month debilitating illness. He was born August 7, 1917 to Henry C. Sease and Lottie Mae Price Sease and lived in the Hollow Creek community all his life. Read More	Franklin Eitel Sease, age 99, died in the early morning hours on November 17, 2016 at Lexington Extended Care, Lexington, SC, following a three-month debilitating illness. He was born August 7, 1917 to Henry C. Sease and Lottie Mae Price Sease and lived in the Hollow Creek community all his life. He was a sawmill owner and dealt in lumber and earned a reputation for outstanding knowledge in the lumber business. After his retirement from the lumber business, he worked for a number of years at the James R. Sease Farms in Gilbert. He was a lifetime member of St Paul's Lutheran Church where he served as Benevolence Treasurer for a number of years, was Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years and served on the Church Council for numerous terms. After St Paul burned to the ground on June 6, 1952, he was chairman of the Memorial Furniture Committee, Chairman of the Pew and Cushion Committee, Chairman of the History Room Committee and Chairman of the Pastory and Conservation Committee. St. Paul's was rebuilt in eight years. Eitell was a charter member and Chairman of the Hollow Creek Community Center along with Spark Swygert. He was also a charter member of the Hollow Creek Fire Department and Committee Chairman of the Hollow Creek Ruritan Club where he was named Ruritan National Man of the Year in 2004 and in 2008. He was avtive in the Senior Center at Gilbert up until his illness. He was married to Edith Ernestine Harmon of Lexington in 1939,who predeceased him in December 2003. He is survived by his four children: Donnie Harmon Sease and wife Shirley of Montgomery, Al; Wayne Franklin Sease and wife Susan of Spartanburg; Phyllis Lavon Sease Ross and hurband Allen of Lincoln, Alabama; and Joel Richard Sease and wife Beverly of Gilbert. He and Edith are survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hollow Creed on Saturday, November 19 at 3:00 PM with visitation at 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 246 St. Paul's Church Road, Gilbert, SC 29054, Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
