Read More	FRANKLIN GAUDIN 'FRANK' HEWGILL Born in Collingwood Township, a son of the late Earl and Mina (née Shortt) Hewgill, Frank passed away in the comforting presence of his family at Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford on Sunday, October 31, 2010, in his 84th year. Frank, a resident of Thornbury, and formerly of Clarksburg, was predeceased by his beloved wife of some 57 years, the former Hilda Isabell Bray, on June 1, 2007. Frank was a most familiar face in the communities of the Beaver Valley as an apple grower with Hewgill Orchards, now operated by his son John, and as the owner operator of Hewgill Bus Lines, now operated by his daughter Jayne, where for many years Frank and his family employed many devoted employees who were friends and co-workers. Frank also served some time with the local school board and was a dedicated member of the 'Free Methodist Church' in Thornbury where his commitment to youth was respected by all who knew him. He will be remembered by all as a man who led by his example. He will be forever remembered as the much loved father and 'Dad' of Carly Hewgill of Meaford, John Hewgill and his wife Darlene of Clarksburg, and Jayne Randall and her husband David also of Clarksburg. He will be the sadly missed grandfather of Sarah and her husband Drew Tedford, Leah and her husband Shawn Postma, Daniel Hewgill and his wife Josi, Lily Hewgill, and Chelsea Rachel Randall all of Clarksburg. His loving presence as a great-grandfather will be sorely missed by their children Grace, Wesley and William Tedford, Nathan Postma, and Isabella and Benjamin Hewgill. Frank will be remembered also as a dear brother by Miriam (late Murray) Hewgill of Florida, Ruth (Rev. Lyle) Babcock of Illinois, Raymond (Katherine) Hewgill of Stouffville, Grace (Tom) Walton of Clarksburg and Alice (Dr. Floyd) Hicks of Port Colborne. He will be remembered with fondness as a brother-in-law of Norman (Jutta) Bray of Lindsay and Kenneth (Lorna) Bray of Nottawa, Marion (Earl) McGhee of London, and Ruth (Roger) Gast of Strathroy and Verginia (late Stanley) Bray and Naomi (late Earl) Bray and will be fondly remembered also as a special 'Uncle Frank' by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Frank's family received friends at the Blue Mountains Community Church (The Free Methodist Church) in Thornbury on Wednesday afternoon and evening where funeral services, officiated by Rev. Aaron James and Rev. Dr. Robert Buchanan, were conducted on Thursday, November 4, 2010. Special music was provided during the service led by Roger Dinsmore, accompanied by his wife Lora and by his son-in-law David Randall who also offered a spiritual tribute in music. Grandson-in-law Shawn Postma provided remembrances and reflections of Frank on behalf of the family. A family service of committal and interment followed at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery. Serving as flower bearers for their grandfather were Lily Hewgill, and Chelsea and Rachel Randall. Pall bearers were longtime friend and employee Stephen Staveley, dear neighbour Jim Stinson, nephew Paul Hewgill, grandsons-in-law Drew Tedford and Shawn Postma and grandson Daniel Hewgill.
