Keller was published in the "Niles Daily Star" newspaper, in Niles, MI on Jan. 14, 1955, page 2: --- FRANKLIN J. KELLER. BUCHANAN - Franklin Joseph Keller, 59, died at 12:30 a.m. today in his home seven miles northwest of Buchanan on rural route two, following an illness of about 18 months. Keller was born April 1, 1895, in DuPage County, Ill., the son of Alec [Alex] and Rose [Rosa] Keller and came to Buchanan in 1913 from Naperville, Ill. He was married Oct. 12, 1914, in South Bend, [IN] to Alda [Alta] Weatherwax, who died Sept 16, 1936. He later married Mildred Baker, of Buchanan, on Dec. 28, 1938. Surviving are: his widow: a son, Walter, of South Bend [IN]: two daughters, Mrs. Allene Schedier, and Mrs. Helen Mosler, both of Buchanan: two step-sons, Melvin and Marion, both of Niles: a sister, Mrs. Tillie Florey, of Buchanan: four brothers, Edward, of Marne, Ia., Albert, and William, of Buchanan, and Henry, of South Bend, [IN], and two grandchildren. Another son, Lawrence, was killed July 31, 1954, in a motorcycle accident on area roads. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Swem Funeral Home here where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Wesley Oldt, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial well be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. ---------------------------------
