Description	:	Frank P. Kratzer was born Feb 25, 1853 near Freeport, IL. About the age of 8 years he came with his parents to Iowa settling near Mt Vernon. Mr Kratzer had an adventurous spitit and in his early young manhood went into the'pineries of Wisc, returning some years later to the viciity of Center Point. Lynn of Los Angeles,... Read More	Frank P. Kratzer was born Feb 25, 1853 near Freeport, IL. About the age of 8 years he came with his parents to Iowa settling near Mt Vernon. Mr Kratzer had an adventurous spitit and in his early young manhood went into the'pineries of Wisc, returning some years later to the viciity of Center Point. On Jan 8, 1878 he married Rebecca Floyd of Center Point who passed away after only 8 years of marriage. They were parents of one son who passed away in 1913 and one daughter, Mrs L. M. Lynn of Los Angeles, CA. On Nov 14, 1888, he married Ida I. Johnson of Marion, I. They were parents of one daughter, Mrs Harry Green of Iowa City, IA. Mr Kratzer lived on a farm on the edge of Center Point for about 40 years. He was a loyal citizen, a loyal husband, a kind father and an obliging neighbor. On Oct 6, Mr Kratze met with an accident which necessitated his being taken to a hospital which later resutled in the amputation of his leg. Seemingly he was well on the way to recovery, when on Tuesday afternoon he had a sinking spell and passed away at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 1 day. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one sister, Mrs John Adams of Whittier, CA and a host of friends. Interment in the Center Point Cemetery.
