PERKINS DIES AT 63 IN HOSPITAL Frank Ray Perkins, 63, retired Mason City painting contractor, died Wednesday morning in a Mason City hospital. He had lived in Mason City since 1920 and had made his home at 1019 12th NW. Mr. Perkins was born July 13, 1901, at Bancroft, son of William and Agnes (Ditsworth) Perkins. He was married to Agnes Hilferty Dec. 25, 1922, at Sac City. They lived in Mason City until his wife preceded him in death in July 1957. He lived at Brainerd, Minn., where he had a paint shop from 1957 until January 1965, when he retired and returned to Mason City. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Maxine) Raymond, Mason City; a son, Ralph C. Perkins, Clinton; four granddaughters; one grandson; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Ditsworth, Brainerd, Minn.; and a brother, Melvin Perkins, San Diego, Calif. Mr. Perkins was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge of Brainerd, Minn. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Visitation at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home will be from noon Thursday until the time of services. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. -------------------------------- Globe Gazette Mason City, Iowa Thursday, 8 April 1965 F.R. PERKINS FUNERAL SET FOR FRIDAY AT 11 Requiem high Mass will be celebrated for Frank Ray Perkins, 63, at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul J. Maguire, pastor of the church, will be celebrant. Mr. Perkins, a retired Mason City contractor, died Wednesday in a Mason City hospital. He had made his home at 1019 12th NW. Pallbearers selected are Charles Hilferty, Robert Speakar, Alex Speakar, David Stricker, Ned Seney and Donald Morgan. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery at Dougherty. Scriptural Vigil of the Dead was scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel, where visitation will be until the time of services.
