Description	:	On Jan. 10, 2007, Franklyn David Pieczynski, 66, finished his journey here on Earth and took a faithful and divine step through the veil and entered into his beloved brother's arms, Jesus Christ. From this world he left many friends that will miss him very much. His character and uplifting spirit will be a great loss here but a fine addition to the paradise he is in now. Read More	On Jan. 10, 2007, Franklyn David Pieczynski, 66, finished his journey here on Earth and took a faithful and divine step through the veil and entered into his beloved brother's arms, Jesus Christ. From this world he left many friends that will miss him very much. His character and uplifting spirit will be a great loss here but a fine addition to the paradise he is in now. His ailments he suffered here on Earth will serve him well to enjoy his newfound freedoms in the Kingdom of God. Franklyn was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa to Toney and Dorothy Pieczynski. He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman from 1959 to 1965. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune and the Naval Academy. He was an outboard motor mechanic, sporting goods salesman, farmer and antique dealer. Hobbies included cabinet making, leather craft, muzzleloaders, and talking to people. He loved children and enjoyed life. He will be missed by many. Franklyn is survived by his mother, Dorothy Oakes; brother, Richard; sister, Rita Waage; sons, David and Brent; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, North Pole Chapel, 331 E. 8th Ave., across from North Pole Middle School. Please no flowers, but a donation to the Fairbanks Rescue Mission in his name to help our area homeless would be so appreciated. Arrangements were by Fairbanks Funeral Home and Crematory.
