Frank Koutny, Living Near David City, Passed Away Sunday. Frank Koutny, living five miles east of David City, died from heart trouble at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, May 14. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nick Hein, in the northeast part of David City. He was ill two hours. Mr. Koutny had lived on his farm in Butler county since 1888. He was born in Moravia August 25, 1857, and came to the United States in 1880. He was married in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1881 to Miss Victoria Pinkosch, who survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Nick Hein of David City and Mrs. Frank A. Kovar of Seward, and one sister, Mrs. John Prochaska of David City, and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Koutny was a member of the Catholic church and of the Modern Woodmen lodge. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic church, Appleton. Rev. Father Bauer conducted the services. Singing was by the Appleton church choir. Te pallbearers were Bohumil Kopecky, John Masek, William Masek, Joseph Sabata, Joseph Swoboda and John Svoboda. Burial was in the Appleton cemetery. Mrs. Kovar came from Seward to attend the funeral of her father. Mr. and Mrs. John Drval and children and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Drval, from Columbus, were also in attendance at the funeral. __ col. 2 Card of Thanks- We wish to extend our thanks for the good neighbors and relatives for the kindness offered to us during the short illness of our husband and father, thanks for the beautiful flowers and thanks to the Modern Woodmen for their kindness and flowers.
