Read More	Franziska married John Bielmaier about 1867 in Germany. They were the parents of 9 children: Michael, Theresa, Joseph, Frances, Mary, Catherine, Anna, and 2 more. They immigrated to the US in 1883. July 15, 1915 - Carroll Times - Mrs Frances Bielmeier, wife of John Bielmeier, died at the family home on South Walnut street, Monday shortly afternoon. Death, which was due to heart trouble, came very suddenly and unexpectedly. While it had been known for several years that the deceased was troubled with an affection of the heart, there was nothing to indicate the near approach of death. Shortly after dinner on Monday Mrs Beilmeyer lay down for an afternoon nap and passed quietly away during her sleep. The deceased, whose maiden name was Frances Sturm, was born at Arbruch, Bavaria, August 24, 1843 and would have been seventy-three years of age had she lived until her next birthday. All her early life was spent in her native country and she was married to John Bielmeier, who survives her in the city of her birth on Nov 29th, 1865. The family were looking forward toward a celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Bielmeier, next November. Nine children were born to them, two of whom preceded their mother in death. The living children are as follows: Michael, of Wall Lake, S.D.; Theresa, (Mrs Richard Kerntke) of Stillwater, Okla; Joseph of Davenport, Iowa; Frances (Mrs I.L. Stebbins), North Platte, NE; Mary (Mrs Math Shoemaker) of Willey; Catherine (Mrs Alfred Lepert) of Davenport, and Anna at home. The family came from Bavaria to this country about 32 years ago, their first home being in Texas. They remained in that state only a few months however and then came to Iowa, where they have since resided. About 20 years were spent on a farm in their county, but during the last 12 years they have been living in town. Mrs Bielmeier was a life long member of the Catholic church and faithful to all her duties in the church and home. The funeral was held this (Thursday) morning at Ss. Peter and Paul's church and burial was made in the cemetery of that parish. All the living children were in attendance, having come from their widely separated homes to pay the last sad tribute to a good mother.
