Fred Corneli a victim Elderly Man Died at City Hotel From Heat Fred Corneli an old man of past 60 years and seemingly a stranger in the city, died Monday morning about 10 of heat prostration at the city hotel. Tenth and Harney streets. He was found in his room unconscious less than an hour before his death. Dr. Peabody was at once summoned, but when he arrived, Corneli's condition was hopeless and he died within a few minutes. At the hotel little or nothing is known about the man. He came there a week ago today and paid room rent for a week in advance. Since then he has kept pretty regularly about the place, which has a concert hall in connection and has drank beer rather freely.
