Description	:	Fred Geis, 80, Dies Friday Fred Geis, 80, York County farmer, died Friday morning at 2:58 o’clock at York General Hospital after a long illness. In failing health the past five years he had been critically ill the past month. Read More	Fred Geis, 80, Dies Friday Fred Geis, 80, York County farmer, died Friday morning at 2:58 o’clock at York General Hospital after a long illness. In failing health the past five years he had been critically ill the past month. Mr. Geis was one of four York County farmer honored at the fourth annual Farmers and Businessmen’s banquet on April 19, 1951. Two others of that group have preceded Mr. Geis in death. Mr. Geis was born Feb. 25, 1878, at Lincoln, Ill. He came to York County in 1900 and engaged in farming, first as a farm hand, then as a renter and later as a land owner. His farm was southeast of York. In 1904 he was married to Agnes Kaspari. Mrs. Geis died in 1952. A daughter, Frances, also preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, Paul Geis, owner of Geis Motors and other York industries, and Leo & Lawrence Geis, both engaged in farming; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Walsh, Glendale, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, George of York and Frank of Lincoln, Ill.; five sisters, Florence Geis, Mrs. Esther Davis, and Mrs. Eleanor Bennis, all of Lincoln, Ill., and Sister M. Henrietta, OSU, Louisville, Ky., and Sister M. Angelina, OSU, in South Carolina. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. L. L. Mandeville officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight and Sunday night at the Metz chapel
