Description	:	Fred L. Morris was born July 2, 1890, at Marionville, Mo., to John Phillip and Mary Sullivan Morris. He attended rural schools near Marionville and moved to South Dakota at the age of 18. On January 28, 1913 he was married to Ida Sanmark and resided at Artesian until 1927, when the couple moved to a farm near Ethan where they lived until Mr. Morris retired. Mr. Morris died January 20, 1960 at a Mitchell hospital at the age of 69. His wife preceded him in death in 1951. He resided in Mitchell from 1951 until his death. Survivors include... Survivors include two sons, Wayne of Ethan and Fred Jr. of Watertown; three daughters, Mrs. Wendell Anderson of Chatfield, Minn., Mrs. Art Barth, Mitchell and Mrs. Delbert Hansen of Ethan; three sisters, Mrs. Bert Stewart and Mrs. O.D. Hudson, both of Joplin, Mo. and half sister Mrs. C.H. (Virginia) Linn of Palestine, Tex.; four half brothers, Raymond, Josh, and Chester of Marionville, Mo., and Everett of Dallas, Tex.; and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Morris were held Saturday afternoon, Jan. 23, 1960 at the Ethan Methodist Church with the Revs. Kalmer Knudson and Arnold Herbst officiating. Burial was in the family plot in the Ethan Cemetery.
