In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Allen R. Nichols and sisters, Birdie Mae Nichols and Rosa Lee Nichols. Fred was a US Navy veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. Fred loved spending time with his grandkids. He was Methodist by faith.
