Description	:	Fred, the only son and child of John Martin and grandson of Peter Martin, died Sunday evening from injuries received from a fall of slate in the Chauncey coal mine. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Chauncey, conducted by Rev. Bishop; interment in the Nye cemetery. Young Martin was a popular boy, being about 19 years old at the time of his death. His premature demise is a terrible shock to his parents, his mother being prostrated.
