Description	:	Fred M. Peters, 74, a resident of Howard county since 1882 died yesterday morning at his home two and one half miles southeast of St Libory. He had been in poor health the past six months. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran Church at Worms, following a prayer service at the home at 1:30 o'clock by the Rev W. H. Meyer. Burial will be in the cemetery at Worms. Mr. Peters was born Nov 6, 1872 in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, the son of John J. and Wiepke Peters. Ten years later he came to the United States with his parents and they settled on the farm in Howard County where he resided during the entire remainder of his life. He and Emma Luebbe were married Aug ??? at Worms and ten children were born to them. A prominent stock man and an extensive farmer, he was well known in Nebraska for his purebred Hereford cattle. He served on the school board for 28 years and was active in civil affairs. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Surviving are his wife, four sons, Henry J., Central City, Herman C., St Paul, William, Grand Island and Walter, St Libory. Five daughters Mrs. Otto Scheer and Mrs. Arthur Schmidt, Chapman, Mrs. Arnold Bader, Springfield, IA., Mrs. Arnold Dammann and Mrs. Eric Kuck, St Libory; one brother Henry N. Peters, Los Angeles, CA and one sister Mrs. Magdalena Schmidt, Santa Monica, CA. Thirty two grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
