Freda is survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Hayden and his wife, Pauline, of Starks, Ralph Hayden Jr. of New Hampshire, David Hayden of Connecticut, Philip Hayden of Wyoming, Patrick Hayden of Sidney, Jeffery Hayden of Anson, Cathy Hayden and Peter Ward of Embden, Wendy Boynton and her husband, Michael, of Madison, Kathy Casey, and Patricia Warren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Philip Hayden of Presque Isle; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hayden of Starks; a special friend, Virginia Hayden of North Anson; as well as many friends at Parkwoods Apartments. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Athearn Cemetery, Anson, with the Rev. Janice Quimby officiating. Arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison ∼Freda was born to Charles Ransford and Salome Elizabeth Piper Davis at Westfield Maine, the youngest of eight children. August 2, 1932 she married Orin L Hayden. In the earlier years, of the marriage, the couple engaged in unsuccessful farming. To the marriage two sons were born, and the couple relocated to southern Maine to began anew. They remaine there for the remainder of their lives. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and sons Gerald and Ralph. Also predeceasing her were sisters Mable, Barbara (in childhood), and brothers John, Robert, Thomas, Charles, and Malcolm. She is survived by a multitude of grand children, and great grand children. Interment was at 1:00pm, Wednesday July 5th, at Athearn, in Anson.
