Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh with Pastor Ray Weinerman officiating. Freddrick William was born on July 22, 1933, to Gordon "Bill" and Nera Ann (Plummer) Johnson in rural Garden County, Nebraska. He attended country school at District 62 in Garden County and later graduated from Garden County High School in 1951. He entered the United States Army on July 13, 1954 and was attached to the 264th F.A. Battalion in Germany as a survey specialist. Upon his honorable discharge on June 2, 1956, he returned to Nebraska and worked for the United Telephone Company for two years. Later, he entered college at Utah State University at Logan, UT, where he spent the next two and one-half years studying animal husbandry and range management. On April 4, 1959, he married Mary Sue Paisley at the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh. To this union, two sons were born, Pat and Dan. In 1959, the family worked on the Delatour Ranch north of Lewellen. In 1961, they moved to a farm-feedlot operation south of Oshkosh where they worked for the next six years. In 1967, they moved to a ranch 14 miles north of Lodgepole, Neb., being employed by Rush Creek Land and Cattle Company. In 1968, they were transferred to a ranch north of Lewellen. In 2000, they moved to their home west of Oshkosh. He loved his sons and grandchildren; he also enjoyed his livestock, tinkering with things, carving and working with wood, art and painting. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oshkosh. Survivors include his two sons, Pat and wife Heather Johnson and their daughter, Bree all of Arthur and Dan and wife Peg Johnson and their children, Nate and Luke all of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue in 2009; his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Watson and Pat Robinson; and one brother, Jimmy Johnson.
