Allnutt, of Seneca, passed away after an illness of two weeks, during which all that medical science and human skill could do proved unavailing and God took his noble soul unto Himself. Mr. Allnutt was born January 7, 1868, near Seneca, and was the son of the late Benoni Allnutt and Emily Dawson. His life was spent in the neighborhood of Seneca, where he had for fifteen years been engaged in the mercantile business and farming interests. In 1900 he married Miss Ada Perry, of Luray, Va., and their union was blessed by three children, Eleanor, Hilda and Frederick. Besides his widow and children, Mr. Allnutt is survived by six brothers, Messrs. Robert, Joseph, Benoni, Lawrence, Charles and Lewis Allnutt, and by one sister, Miss Nellie Allnutt. The funeral services were held on August 2nd and were conducted by Rev. Lewis Hudson, pastor of the Baptist church of Luray, Va. The pallbearers were Messrs. Tom Darby, Henry Allnutt, Lawrence Darby, Lawrence Allnutt, Elmer Hersperger and Tom Collier. Interment was in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, where his beloved body was laid to rest under a great mound of flowers. Never to the history of the community has there been anything which cast such a gloom over the neighborhood as Mr. Allnutt's death. His friends—everyone was "Fred's" friend. He went about doing good , and anyone who saw the hundreds of his people, the people who had known him so many years, who came to look for the last time on his dear face, could not but know that a great good man had left us. He had no enemies—a man of magnetic personality, noble characters, and, above all, of generous, charitable heart, he drew all to him. The good of his community was his first interest, and he was widely known as a strong factor for good in his district. His memory is blessed. He will live in the hearts of his dear ones and friends, and his fair name will go down, unsullied by an unworthy act. To his bereaved family and relatives, the heart of the community goes out in tenderest sympathy. May the Great Comforter bring to their hearts that peace, sweet peace, wonderful gift of God's love for, There is no death! the stars go down to rise upon some other shore.
