December 24, 1874 he married Cessney Kunz. Next married Elizabeth Dieterich on January 13, 1881. ~~~~~~~ Frederick Mohr Born in Lee County near Farmington, Iowa, August 28, 1862. About the year 1858 he emigrated with his parents to Scotland County and located on a farm near Etna where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage December 24, 1874, to Cessney Kunz. To this union two children were born, Lewis and Edward. After a few years of married life her health began to fail and she departed this life on September 3, 1880. He united again in marriage on January 13, 1881 to Elizabeth Dieterich. To this union six children were born, Lulu Arnold, Mable Dye, Velva Welbourne, Andrew Bernhart. One departed this life in infancy. He departed this life December 17, 1927, age 75 years, three months, and twenty days. There remains to mourn his departure, his wife, seven children, four daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, twenty one grandchildren, one great grandchild. One sister, Mrs. Amanda Miller of Gorin. One brother, Henry Mohr, of Arbela, and a host of other relatives and friends. He resided on the farm near Etna until the year 1914 when he purchased a few acres and built a home near the Etna church of which he became a member in his youth. Being a faithful member, always active, never absent only in case of sickness until six years ago when he became physically disable to attend only at times. He was a man of much hospitality, his home was always open to the passerby. The last hour of his life he gave testimony of his faith in Jesus, and was satisfied to go home to the Lord. We are looking forward to be reunited with father at the throne of grace. Funeral services were held at the Etna Methodist Church, December 19, 1927, by Rev. E. L. Rathert.
