Cramer, who would have celebrated his 71st birthday anniversary Saturday, died in his home five miles northeast of Mt. Victory at 9:45 p.m., Thursday, after failing health of nine years with complications of diseases. He had been seriously ill two weeks. The deceased was born in Franklin county on February 23, 1864, and had lived in this county practically his lifetime. He was a farmer. Surviving are the widow, Amanda Cramer; two daughters, Mrs. Otis Chamberlain of Mt. Victory, Mrs. Ruth Gibson of Morral; one sister, Mrs. Etta Sullivan of Marion; and fifteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the late home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. W. M. George of Marion and Rev. C. W. Black of Mt. Victory in charge. Martell George, Minister -- Frederick Hamilton Cramer, the son of Frederick and Emily (Sweet) Cramer, was born in Franklin County, Ohio on February 23, 1864 and departed this life at his home near Mount Victory on February 21, 1936 at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 28 days. When 19 years of age, he moved with his parents to Hardin Co., and has lived in Mount Victory and vicinity ever since. He had lived on his present farm for 28 years. Mr. Cramer was united in marriage to Miss Amanda Ann Simpson on October 8, 1885 and had he lived until next October would have celebrated with Mrs. Cramer their 50th wedding anniversary. This union was blessed with 4 children, a son, Wayne dying in infancy, and a daughter, Florence at the age of 7 years. Mr. Cramer was an industrioius worker, a good citizen and neighbor and friend. Because of his long life in this community, he had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. He was a loving Father, a devoted husband and friend. For the past nine years, he has been in failing health but bore his suffering patiently and cheerfully. He leaves to mourn their loss his beloved wife and companion who has been his helpmate for nearly 50 years, 2 daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gibson of Morral, Ohio and Mrs. Opal Chamberlain of Mt. Victory, Ohio, 15 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Marietta Sullivan of Marion besides a host of other relatives and friends.
