Read More	Frederick H. Roesener Frederick H. Roesener Passed away April 20, 2005 at the age of 90. He has been a life-long resident of Indiana. He was born on the family farm (owned by the same family since 1837) in New Palestine, IN in 1914. He resided there and worked on the farm with his father and brother until 1936, when he began carpenter apprentice training with the Wm. P. Jungclaus Co. He remained in their employ as a foreman and superintendent until 1957 when he started his own company, F. H. Roesener Co., Inc., a general contracting company. His main focus was the interior construction work for L.S. Ayres & Co. and their subsidiaries. In 1960, he purchased a local custom cabinet company, Ace Cabinets, and maintained both companies until his retirement in 1982. During his years of construction work, he built a home for the family, two homes for his son, Gerald, and remodeled the family homestead in New Palestine for his daughter, Anita. Frederick was the fourth generation of Roeseners to live in the family homestead. He and his late wife of 59 years, Helen, maintained residence in Indianapolis for 31 years and then moved to Noblesville in 1974. Living on Morse Lake gave Fred the opportunity to "drop a fishing line" daily. Frederick was an avid fisherman and traveled yearly to Canada to bring home "the big ones." He didn't cook many things, but he had a gift of frying his "catch." They moved back to Frederick's roots in New Palestine in 1991. He always regarded New Palestine as his homeland. He spent many hours volunteering his services at his church, Emmaus Lutheran in Indianapolis serving as deacon and maintaining the physical plant, as well as being the "fix-it" man for many of his friends and family. There was always a tool box in his trunk. He also was a member of the Carpenters' Union. Frederick is survived by his two children, Gerald and Anita; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Oscar Roesener, and sister, Anita Roesener Trautmann. Visitation will be held at the Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 22 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, with visitation one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, or Emmaus Lutheran Church, Indianapolis.
