Mr. Sanne passed away at his home Sunday, January 23, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Fred was born on December 21, 1937, in Tilden, NE, the son of Herman and Susan (James) Sanne. He was raised on the family farm and attended District #114. Fred graduated from Tilden High School in 1955. He worked as a farmhand and later drove a cattle truck for several years. In 1958, Fred began driving a gravel truck for Elkhorn Construction. On April 19, 1964, Fred married Patricia Galyen in Oakdale, NE. The couple made their home in Norfolk. In the middle of the 1960's, Fred was employed as a welder at Arkfeld Manufacturing. In 1969, Fred drove for Coca-Cola and later became a shift supervisor. In 1973, Fred became the owner/operator of Sanne Trucking. He primarily hauled grain locally for over 30 years. In 2003, he drove over the road for a couple years before returning to haul grain locally. He was well known by his CB handle "Charlie Brown" to his trucking friends. He retired in 2009 due to his illness. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and Nebraska football. He was a fan western movies. He had a great love for his family and was able to be at all of his children's school activities. He was the happiest when he was spending time with his family. Fred is survived by his wife of 47 years; their children-Paul Sanne and his wife, Michelle, of Norfolk, Theresa Sanne, of Omaha, and Aaron Sanne, of Norfolk; grandchildren-Megan Riegsecker, Austin Sanne, Zach and Adam Uehling, great-grandchild, Zydan Ruge-Sanne. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren, Stevie and Conrad.
