Description	:	Frederick Miller was married in 1846, to Lydia, daughter of John Dorner, of the vicinity Middletown; Mr. Miller afterwards married Miss Susan Charlton. Frederick Miller, was born near Hanover, PA., 1822. Made an orphan very early in in life, he grew up under the care of a family names Toms, of Middletown, MD., receiving a good education. After he was grown, he lived for Some time with the Routzahn family, of Jefferson District. Read More	Frederick Miller was married in 1846, to Lydia, daughter of John Dorner, of the vicinity Middletown; Mr. Miller afterwards married Miss Susan Charlton. Frederick Miller, was born near Hanover, PA., 1822. Made an orphan very early in in life, he grew up under the care of a family names Toms, of Middletown, MD., receiving a good education. After he was grown, he lived for Some time with the Routzahn family, of Jefferson District. He then began business for himself by renting several farms in succession; the these was the Routzahn farm; which be cultivated for about sixteen years; then about thirty six years- he bought the farm known as "Mahogany Heights" from the Lynch family; this farm he sold to his eldest son, Charles William, about 1885. Frederick Miller was enterprising and resourceful, and met with success. At the time of his death, he was the owner of several farms-two in Montgomery County, MD. one in Shenandoah County, VA., one in Loudoun County, Va. and the other a Catoctin. Mr. Miller lost some fine horses during the Civil War which were taken by General Early's Cavalry. Mr. Frederick Miller died in Montgomery County, MD. Children of Frederick and his first wife Lydia Dorner; their children are: (1.) Charles William Miller; (2.) Sarah Miller ( Mr. John Haffner), of Frederick city; (3.) F. Clayton. Miller farmer of Jefferson District, who married Miss Julia Sheffer, sister of Mrs. Charles William Miller; (4.) John Miller, residing in New Jersey; (5.) Ellen Miller (Mrs. William Thresher), living near Frederick. Mrs. Lydia Miller died in 1872; Mr. Miller afterwards married Miss Susan Charlton; their children are: (1.) Henry Miller, of Washington D.C., who married a Miss Reed; (2.)
