He was born August 25,1931 in Greene County, son of the late Gilbert Shifflett and Nellie Morris Shifflett. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday March 24,2016, at Ryan Funeral Home, A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25,2016, at Evergreen Church of the Brethren, 645 Evergreen Church Road, Stanardsville, Virginia.
