Read More	The Emporia Gazette, 28 Nov 2016, Monday Fredric Dale Wall Dale Wall, 76, of Emporia, KS, passed away, with family by his side, Monday, November 21, 2016, at Holiday Resort, in Emporia, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2016, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1101 Neosho Street, in Emporia, followed by a lunch reception. A private family service will follow at the Upper Fall River Church Cemetery near Eureka, KS. Dale, the first of four children, was born September 19, 1940, in Eureka, to Roy Fredric and Ada Bruns Wall. In 1958, Dale graduated from Liberal High School. Dale served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961, as a Sonar Operator, aboard the USS Lansing, a destroyer escort ship, based in Pearl Harbor. On August 28, 1977, Dale married Jacquelyn Rowe Derby at the Upper Fall River Church. They lived for many years in Chanute, KS, where Dale worked for Kustom Electronics. In 1994, they moved to Emporia, where Dale worked for Hopkins Manufacturing. Dale worked the majority of his career in the electronics industry, and was recognized as an authority in his field. Dale loved fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Dale’s strong belief in God, his positive outlook on life, and an inquisitive mind dictated his path. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John Wall. Dale is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Melinda Skrdlant, of Topeka, KS; sons, Charles Derby (wife/Kirsten), and John Derby, of Lawrence, KS, and Chris Wall, of Cleveland, OH; sisters, Jann Goodman (husband/Lonnie), and Vickie Martin (husband/Doland), of Eufaula, OK; a sister-in-law, Sherry Wall, of Washington, UT; seven grandchildren; four nieces; and a nephew. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
