Description	:	Frederick L Bell, who has been farming in the State Center neighborhood for the past three years, died at the Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown at 9:30 o'clock Sunday evening after a month's illness. Mr Bell has been in failing health for some time but was taken seriously ill on June 26 and submitted to an operation that night for rupture of ulcers of the stomach. Read More	Frederick L Bell, who has been farming in the State Center neighborhood for the past three years, died at the Deaconess Hospital in Marshalltown at 9:30 o'clock Sunday evening after a month's illness. Mr Bell has been in failing health for some time but was taken seriously ill on June 26 and submitted to an operation that night for rupture of ulcers of the stomach. For several years prior to coming to State Center, Mr Bell had farmed in the Clemons neighborhood. Frederick L Bell was born in Adair county, Missouri, on March 20, 1890 the son of William B and Ida May Cline Bell. At an early age he was left an orphan. On March 1, 1922 he was united in marriage to Miss Estella Armbrecht of this city and to this union six children were born, all of whom survive. They are Lorna, Naomi Irene, Raymond, Charles, Mary Ellen and Ruth Marie, all at home. In addition to his widow and children, Mr Bell is survived by a sister, Mrs Cora Dodge of Memphis, Missouri and two brothers, Ed Bell of Wichita, Kansas and Ora O Bell of Clearwater, Kansas. Mr Bell was a member of St John's Lutheran church north of town, having been baptized and confirmed in the church on April 15, 1924. The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon with a prayer service at the home at 1:30 o'clock followed by services at St John's Lutheran church at 2:00 in charge of the pastor, Rev William J F Zabel. Burial was in the St John's cemetery. March 19, 1936 State Center Enterprise.
