Description	:	The sudden death of Mrs. Hans Jess of Otter Creek township, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, June 10, caused profound sorrow among the many friends of the family in this locality. Her death was doubly sad inasmuch as she leaves a son less than two weeks old. Read More	The sudden death of Mrs. Hans Jess of Otter Creek township, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, June 10, caused profound sorrow among the many friends of the family in this locality. Her death was doubly sad inasmuch as she leaves a son less than two weeks old. The deceased was born Sept. 15, 1877, at Pellworn, German, where she resided until 1903 when she came to America and located here in Denison. She was united in marriage to Mr. Hans Jess of this city, in 1905 and they made their home here until about four years ago when they moved to a farm in Otter Creek township where they have since resided. Mrs. Jess was a woman who held the respect and esteem of all with whom she came in contact. She was of a cheerful disposition and never lost and opportunity to perform acts of kindness. She was a good wife, a loving mother and the husband and children have the sympathy of the entire community in their great loss. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and five children, namely: Harry, Clara, Hans, Harvey and the infant babe. In additional there are left to mourn her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stockfleth, of Schleswig, and the following brothers and sister: Herman, of Ute; Jacob, of Schleswig; Mrs. Fred Kadoch, of Denison, Fred of Castana; Mrs. Anna Borgen and Mrs. Elizabeth Eggers, residing in Germany; Henry of Otter Creek township; Mrs. Minnie Claussen, of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Sophie Suckstorf, of Morgan township; Mrs. Amanda Jochims of near Ricketts; Mrs Laura Moltmann, of Battle Creek and Anton of Battle Creek. Brief services were held at the home this afternoon at one o'clock, and later at Peace church in Schleswig, the pastor, Rev. Wetzler officiating, after when interment was made in the Morgan cemetery.
