Read More	Frieda Plesuk passed peacefully to her rest in Jesus shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at a Minot hospital, three weeks before her 95th birthday. Frieda Jane was the 11th of 15 children born to Friedrich “Fred” and Rosina “Rosie” (Schock) Rittenbach on March 30, 1924, in Medicine Hill Township, McLean County 13 miles south of Butte, ND. Her early years included her education though the 8th grade at a rural school close to the family home. Like most people who grew up during the 1930’s, she learned the value of hard work, trusting in the Lord and never, ever to waste anything. Frieda was a life-long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and took to heart its many teachings. She also made sure to take her children to church weekly so they would also learn the lessons taught there. As a young woman, she traveled with her sister to Chicago where she worked for a short time. She also worked for a time in Minot at a main street café. On October 9, 1947 she married Raymond Plesuk. For the next 55 years they made their home on the Plesuk Homestead one mile west of Butte where they raised three children: Renae, Robbin and DelRae. Frieda worked side by side with her husband, whether it was in the field, barn or in the house. She was a very dutiful, caring and loving housewife, farm wife and mother. She always prepared three meals a day that the whole family would gather around the kitchen table to eat. Some of the fondest memories of her children and grandchildren are of the food that she prepared. Crafts were also a favorite hobby of hers, especially quilting and crocheting. There always seemed to be some kind of needle, thread or yarn in her hands when she had some spare time. In 2002, Ray and Frieda moved to Minot and lived at the Dakota Terrace Apts. Ray passed away November 14, 2010. In 2016, Frieda moved to the Wellington Assisted Living Facility where she was currently residing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by daughter, Renae (Jim) Hamstra, Castle Rock, CO; son, Robbin (Susan) Plesuk, Max, ND; daughter, DelRae (Jim) Tarasenko, Laveen, AZ; six grandsons, David, Matthew and Steven Hamstra, Jerad and Tim Plesuk and Ryan Tarasenko; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Dickhaut, Urbandale, IA and Esther Novak, Hendersonville, NC; brother, Otto (Carol) Rittenbach, Franklin, NJ; brother-in-law, Russell Plesuk, Fargo; sister-in-law, Evelyn Nylen, Bismarck; and many, many nieces and nephews. Those who preceded her in death are her husband, Raymond; parents; infant son, Mark; grandson, Mychal Tarasenko; brothers, John, Edwin, Theofield, Robert, Hilbert, Fred, Carl and Emanuel; and sisters, Rosie, Leona and Marie.
