Description	:	Fredrick Bluhm, born December 5, 1835, in Gross Outlau, West Prussia, Germany. Here he spent his early childhood days. In 1859 he was united in holy wedlock with Miss Caroline Mahlke in Graudenz, West Prussia, Germany. They both lived there for a number of years. To this union were born seven children in Germany. In 1871 he, his wife and five children came to America to gain and achieve greater things in this world. Read More	Fredrick Bluhm, born December 5, 1835, in Gross Outlau, West Prussia, Germany. Here he spent his early childhood days. In 1859 he was united in holy wedlock with Miss Caroline Mahlke in Graudenz, West Prussia, Germany. They both lived there for a number of years. To this union were born seven children in Germany. In 1871 he, his wife and five children came to America to gain and achieve greater things in this world. In this effort God blessed him, he being able one year later to ask his two older children to follow him to America. The blessing rested upon him in future years also, being in a position at all times to live in comfort and give his children a start in life. When he came to this country in 1871, he settled near Minier, Ill. In 1889 he moved to Seward County, Nebraska. Fifteen years ago he left the farm and moved to the city of Seward, where he lived ever since, toward last with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Schroeder. His wife was called from his side by God on December 25, 1910. The seven children, 2 girls and 5 boys are: Bertha Schulz, Pauline Schroeder, Herman, Edward, Rudolph, Frederick and Godfried. Previous to his death God called five of their children, leaving only Herman and Pauline Schroeder. Mr. Bluhm died February 27, 1923, reaching an age of 87 years, 2 months and 22 days, age which only few reach, which demands praise and thanksgiving on our part. Those who mourn are Herman Bluhm, Mrs. Schroeder, 36 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Seward Journal, Seward, NE, Thurs, March 8, 1923
