Description	:	Fred Reber, 86, of 1522 S. Lincoln St., Aberdeen, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospital. Services were held at 1:30 p. m., Friday, Jan. 29 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. O. M. Simundson officiating. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Don Levsen was soloist and Mrs. Don Levsen was the organist. Members of the Elks Lodge attended services in a group. Mr. Reber was born Jan. 15, 1879 at Rerne, Switzerland, and came to the United States with his family when still a young child. They settled on a farm in Gem Township. He married Anna Gerth at James on Dec. 12, 1900 and they made their home on a farm in Gem Township. They moved to Aberdeen in 1940. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Elks and a member of the board of directors of Chaffin Self Service. Survivors include one son, Walter, Groton; three daughters, Mrs. C. B. Quam, Aberdeen; Mrs. Ewald Stange, Stratford and Mrs. Alvina Herron, Groton; two sisters, Mrs. George Pasch and Mrs. Anna Weihrauch, both of Long Beach, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, one sister and one brother.
