Born at Oltrannsfehn, Osfriesland, Germany, May 30, 1899, he was a son of Foch Ahrenholtz and Mara Grussing Ahrenholtz. He migrated to the United States in 1923, farmed for a couple of years and later be came an interior decorator and contractor in the Monticello area. He was united in marriage at Langworthy to Augusta L. Monk, by the Rev. J. P. Wllims, and they continued the business until 1950 when they moved to Arizona and California. On returning a year later, he became engaged in farming in Richland township and continued until his death. Survivors include his wife Augusta and three brothers, Herman, George and Arend, all of whom are living in Germany.
