Description	:	Mr. Fred Meyer was born in Germany, and when he was the age of 14 years he came to America, and stayed six years when he was called back on account of the death of his father. He was married to Miss Karoline Horstman, and six years later he returned to America, locating in this part of the country where he has resided for the last 16 years. Read More	Mr. Fred Meyer was born in Germany, and when he was the age of 14 years he came to America, and stayed six years when he was called back on account of the death of his father. He was married to Miss Karoline Horstman, and six years later he returned to America, locating in this part of the country where he has resided for the last 16 years. To this union 4 children were born. Last summer he underwent an operation in Omaha and this winter he had the flu which finally caused his death which occurred at the General Hospital in Grand Island. He died on Wednesday morning 5 o'clock March 19, 1919 at the age of 42 years and 4 months. He leaves to mourn his untimely death, his wife, 3 sons, William, Fred and Martin, and one daughter Marie, and 2 brothers near Burwell, William and Herman, 1 brother and 4 sisters in Germany and a host of relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. The funeral services were held Saturday at 12 o'clock from the home 5 miles northwest of Worms, and at one o'clock at the Worms Cemetery.
