He was born September 2, 1901, in Noltimier Township, the son of Carl and Wilhelmena Priebe. He was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church and was a life-long member. He received his education in a rural school there. On April 27, 1922, Mr. Priebe married Viola Beil at her farm home. Mr. Priebe served on the Noltimier School board and the township board for a number of years. He is survived by the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Gladys) Ratzlaff of rural Valley City; Mrs. Fred (Annabelle) Reichart of Pottersville, New York; Mrs. William (Mary Jane) Anderson of Edgeley, N. D.; Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Kerbaugh of Cooperstown, N. D.; Mrs. R. W. (Nancy) Deutscher of Moorhead, Minn.; and Jean, as home; one son, Earl Priebe of Bismarck, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Mary Hannig of Valley City; three brothers, Otto, Albert, and Paul Priebe, all of Valley City; and 18 grandchildren.
