Norman born August 24, 1856, at Quiet Dell, Harrison county, Virginia, came to Kansas in 1889, and located at Burden with John Stout. The following year parents and family moved to Winfield which has been his home for the past thirty-one years. The family consisted, when they first came to this county, the deceased, his parents, two sisters and a brother. For the last fifteen years he and his sister Florence have remained at the hold home known now as the Royal Scion Stock Farm, where he conducted a pure bred Duroc hog business. Honesty and fair dealing has been his motto all through life. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Florence Norman of Winfield, Mrs. C.T. Baker of Dexter, one brother, W.M. Norman of San Francisco.
