His father's grave and 5 generations of sons/grandsons are in the Porter Cemetery, but he is alleged to be elsewhere, based on a number of stories. It was his brother who inherited the family farm on which the cemetery is located. His brother is rather well known in the area as John M. Apparently Gabriel McKenzie Porter, who got his middle name from his mother's maiden name [Nancy Ann (McKenzie) Porter] did not stay on the family farm. Not sure where he was during his adult life, but as related, at least the story goes that he died at his son's home in Fayette County PA. As for Rebecca (Frost), she is the sister/daughter of the founders of Frostburg MD. Much seems to be written on the Frost's as a result of the local fame as town founders, hence details on her burial place, unless again, were with Gabriel McKenzie in Fayette County PA.
