She was married to Andre Guipre, June 10th, 1856, at their native place in France, and lived there for about three years, after which they removed to America and settled in Highland County, Ohio. Read More	Glasco Sun, July 19, 1907, page 2: Obituary Gabrielle Dumorre Guipre was born at Lyons, France, on the 11th day of November, 1826, and died at her home in Summit township, Cloud County, Kansas, on the 9th day of July, 1907, aged 80 yrs., 7 mos., and 28 days. She was married to Andre Guipre, June 10th, 1856, at their native place in France, and lived there for about three years, after which they removed to America and settled in Highland County, Ohio. Here they met with the loss of their first-born child, a son, who was accidentally drowned. This was the first great grief that came to this happy pair. After living in Ohio four years they removed to Nebraska, in 1863, and lived there eight years, and from there, in 1871, the family came to Cloud county, Kansas, settling on a homestead nine miles north-west of Glasco. There were born in the family five children, of which number four are survivors, viz: -- Joseph, Lewis, John and Fred, who were with Mrs. Guipre at the time of her death, and who all reside in the same vicinity. Deceased was reared in the Catholic faith, and was a devoted member of that church. But it can be said of her that her sweet charity for all of God's dear children made her especially beloved by all who had the pleasure to know her. She lived a pure life, and was ready to go, and prayed that God would take her to himself. The funeral services on the 10th inst. were conducted by Elder B.F. McMillan, assisted by Rev. Patterson, pastor of Highland Free Will Baptist Church, where the sermon was preached.
