Gail had scarlet fever when she gave birth to Charles on March 20, 1920 who also had scarlet fever at the time of birth, Gail passed away the next day as a result of childbirth and the scarlet fever. Gail had scarlet fever when she gave birth to Charles on March 20, 1920 who also had scarlet fever at the time of birth, Gail passed away the next day as a result of childbirth and the scarlet fever. Her service was delayed as they didn't know if Charlie survive. When Charlie appeared to be gaining, it was decided to have a service and intern Gail. As the ground was frozen, a stack of wood was burned on the gravesite to thaw as much soil as possible, then water was heated in a hog scalding pot to mix cement. A layer of cement was poured, the casket was set onto that hot wet cement and more cement was mixed and poured over the casket, causing her grave to be a mound instead of being smooth to the top. This is the story told to me by my great uncles Thomas and Allen who were 2 of Gail's brothers. She also had 2 other brothers, Lester and Earl. Charles, my dad served in the navy during WW2 and married Lorraine Slezak in 1948. they had 3 children, Terrt 1949, Roger 1953 and Debra 1957. Charles passed away in 1979 and is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery , Milaca, MN. His wife, my mother, 1930-2017 is buried on his left side. On his right side is buried his Uncle Thomas ans aunt Ruth,
