Forrest Chaffee of the Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada, officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens. Galen Valline was born May 14, 1902 in Jordan, to Henry and Amy (Page) Valline. On Dec. 19, 1923, he married Elizabeth Taylor, who preceded him in death on March 4, 1987. He was a lifetime member of the Ames Moose Lodge, and the Ames Town and Country Saddle Club. He had been employed by Ames Reliable Feeds, Risewick Feeds and Hillman Standard. He also shod hores for many years. Survivors include one son, William of Ames; Two daughters, Barbara Thomas and Amy Herman, both of Nevada; one brother, Haynard of Toledo; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter Betty Linder; one grandson, one granddaughter, two brothers and his parents.
