Garold Lloyd Miller was born in Ogden, Iowa, on March 20, 1939, the son of William and Ruth (Dailey) Miller. He attended Boone High School and in earlier years served with the Iowa National Guard. Lloyd was employed by the Fareway Stores, first as a truck driver, and then as a warehouse man. After 38 years with the company, he retired in 1998. On August 13, 1972, Lloyd married Marry Jane Nees in Boone. Mary Jane died in 2011. On October 15, 2014, Lloyd married Sally Koloff in Boone. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and he occupied his time with many hobbies. He loved to garden, especially growing tomatoes, canning his produce, cooking, visiting casinos, playing Santa, enjoying coffee with friends, and watching old westerns and NASCAR racing on television. Lloyd also enjoyed his dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Jane, two sons Timothy and Todd; four brothers, Lavern, Virgil, Lawrence 'Bud', and Floyd 'Ed' Miller, and three sisters, Vera Condon, Janice Shadle, and Nancy Miller. Lloyd is survived by a son Chris (Aleasa) Miller of Boone and a daughter Teresa Davis of Des Moines; his wife Sally Miller of Boone and her family; five brothers, Ray Miller, Paul (Patricia) Miller, and Bernard (Sharon) Miller, all of Boone, Lauren (Barbara) Miller of Ankeny, and Jack (Fran) Miller of Luther; two sisters, Rose Quigley of Boone and Joyce (Larry) Kirk of Ames; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Mike) Jungck, Casey Fessler, Taylor Fessler, Andrea (Zachary Lawson), Matthew Miller, Shelby Miller, and Kailee Miller; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews
