Description	:	Gary Faust, 65, of Denver, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly from Multiple Myeloma (Plasma Cell Leukemia). Gary Allan Faust was born May 5, 1946, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Lorenz and Esther (Bloeser) Faust. Gary was baptized June 9, 1946, and confirmed May 9, 1960, at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Denver, Iowa. He graduated from Denver High School in 1964. Gary Allan Faust was born May 5, 1946, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Lorenz and Esther (Bloeser) Faust. Gary was baptized June 9, 1946, and confirmed May 9, 1960, at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Denver, Iowa. He graduated from Denver High School in 1964. On April 21, 1968, Gary was united in marriage to Donna Folkerts at St. John's Lutheran Church in Clarksville, Iowa. They have lived in Denver throughout their married lives. Gary worked at Sears in Waterloo, John Deere, Mead Containers, Kirk Gross, Bremwood in Waverly, and Sara Lee in New Hampton. He worked the last 10 years at United Equipment in Waverly, retiring in May 2011. Gary also served in the Army Reserves for 6 years. Gary enjoyed wood working in his shop, yard work and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and granddaughter, family and friends. Gary is survived by his wife, Donna, of Denver; two daughters, Renee of Waverly and Lori of Evansdale; one granddaughter, Madelyn Latting, of Evansdale; two brothers, Lyle (Joan) of Denver and Leland of Waverly; one sister, Carma Lister (Vern) of Eudora, Kansas; four brothers-in-law, Darrell (Joanne), Marvin (Kathy), Richard (Deb), all of Waverly, and Melvin (Idella) of Shell Rock; along with several nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenz and Esther Faust; his in-laws, Henry and Elsie Folkerts; and two nephews, Bruce Faust and Todd Folkerts. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012, at Saint Paul United Church of Christ in Denver with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Denver. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Funeral Home in Denver and for an hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Saint Paul United Church of Christ.
