Description	:	Gary D. Stitzel, age 82, of Ashland, passed away on March 16, 2022. Born in Jeromesville, Ohio on July 9, 1939, the son of Charles D. and Hilda (Cameron) Stitzel, he had been an Ashland County resident most of his life. Mr. Stitzel was an employee of General Motors and retired in 1992. He was also a member of the United States Marine Corps. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one sister, Sandra Cook of Ashland. In addition to his wife Sara, Mr. Stitzel is preceded in death by one son, Erick Meadows; one daughter, Melody Meadows; two granddaughters and one grandson: Sarah Meadows, Mandy Bird and Zack Rush. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Stagerlee Beabout officating at the Ray Cemetery in Wellston, Ohio.
