Description	:	Mr. Gary Hennings, age 58, of East Bend passed away on Saturday April 5th, 2014. Mr. Hennings was born on February 5th, 1956 in Forsyth County to Helen Long Hennings and the late Herbert Hoover Hennings. Gary was a longtime employee of RJR Tobacco Company and enjoyed time spent with his fellow employees in and outside of work. He had a true love of life and enjoyed the sport of racing his entire life. He spent many Friday nights racing go-karts with family and close friends. Gary was very involved in the East Bend community. He... Read More	Mr. Gary Hennings, age 58, of East Bend passed away on Saturday April 5th, 2014. Mr. Hennings was born on February 5th, 1956 in Forsyth County to Helen Long Hennings and the late Herbert Hoover Hennings. Gary was a longtime employee of RJR Tobacco Company and enjoyed time spent with his fellow employees in and outside of work. He had a true love of life and enjoyed the sport of racing his entire life. He spent many Friday nights racing go-karts with family and close friends. Gary was very involved in the East Bend community. He had served as a volunteer fireman and first responder. Gary also coached basketball, baseball, and softball teams while his children were growing up. He was an avid UNC Tarheel basketball fan and enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball. His true passion was his children and supporting their goals and endeavors. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Helen Long Hennings of East Bend; one son Bobby Lee Hennings of Lexington, KY; one daughter Jennifer Renee Hennings and fiancé Joseph Cruz Gonzalez of Yadkinville; one brother Larry Joseph Hennings of Boonville; and two sisters Sarah Hennings Davis and husband Terry of East Bend and Shirley Hennings Brown and husband Leon also of East Bend. A graveside service for Mr. Hennings will be conducted on Tuesday April 8th, 2014 at 4:30pm at Baltimore United Methodist Church.
