Description	:	Gary Lloyd Lantz, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas, died on November 28, 2014 following a short illness. Born in Iola, Kansas on December 15, 1935, he was the Son of Lloyd Lantz and Irene (Harlan) Lantz, who moved to Chanute in 1940 and resided there until their deaths in 1975 and 1996. Gary graduated from Chanute High School in 1954 and served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from 1958 through 1960. Read More	Gary Lloyd Lantz, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas, died on November 28, 2014 following a short illness. Born in Iola, Kansas on December 15, 1935, he was the Son of Lloyd Lantz and Irene (Harlan) Lantz, who moved to Chanute in 1940 and resided there until their deaths in 1975 and 1996. Gary graduated from Chanute High School in 1954 and served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from 1958 through 1960. After Gary's enlistment in the Army, he was self employed as a Barber in Chanute, and Prairie Village, Kansas. In 1991, Gary changed careers, and was a Salesman of Construction and Industrial supplies at CISCO and Myers Brothers in Kansas City, until he retired in 1997 to run his own Property Management business (Lantz Property Management), that his wife continues to operate. Gary was a motorcycle enthusiast and rider from age 15 until his final ride into the sunset. Gary and Wanda had many travels abroad, and made trips to London, England, Paris, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Mexico. They also traveled extensively in the United States doing scooter and motorcycle rallies with many of the clubs of which they were members. Gary and his wife loved the arts and visited museums, attended plays, concerts and Broadway shows and made trips to New York City, Savannah, Georgia, New Orleans, and South Carolina in 2014. Gary was preceded in death by both of his parents, his dear friend and brother-in-law Larry Forsythe, and his step-son Scott Cosby. He is survived by his wife, three children, a step-son, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two sisters. Celebration of life: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. January 31, 2015 at the Westwood Community Center, 4700 Rainbow Boulevard, Westwood, Kansas. Private family burial: Bronson Cemetery, Bronson Kansas, next to his parents, grandparents and other family.
