Seppala "Sket", age 51, of Lake Norden, SD, will be at 11:00 a.m. On Friday, February 20, 2009, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Norden. Jesse Fraki and Daniel Seppanen will lead the services. Active pallbearers will be Gary's sons: Ryan, Riley, Ryder, Randon, and Ted, Gary's sons-in-law, Noah Fraki and Andrew Seppanen, and his friend, Danny Aho. Visitation will be in the Apostolic Lutheran Church on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., with an 8:00 p.m. Service. The family is requested to meet at Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, by 10:30 a.m., for a prayer service. Gary was born on October 29, 1957, at Peterborough, NH, to Theodore and Shirley (Somero) Seppala. He graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, MA. Gary was ‘NATE' certified in HVAC, and received many mechanical awards. On August 27, 1977, Gary married Cherri Haight at Watertown, SD. Gary and Cherri lived in New Hampshire and then returned to South Dakota. In 1993, Gary started Seppala Heating and AC, which he still recently owned and operated. He was baptized and confirmed into the Apostolic Lutheran faith in New Hampshire and he belonged to the Apostolic Lutheran Church of Lake Norden. Gary's life was centered around his wife, family, and friends, yet he longed for his eternal home in heaven to be with his blessed redeemer forever. Seeing the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, his desire was that all would repent of their sins and be saved. Gary is survived by his wife, Cherri, of Lake Norden, SD, and 12 children: Ryan (Kristina) Seppala, of Vienna, SD, Ruthie-Ann (Andrew) Seppanen, of Vienna, SD, Jaylene Seppala of Lake Norden, SD, Katelyn (Noah) Fraki of Ottertail, MN, Riley (Lori) Seppala of Hayti, SD, and Kelsey Seppala, Ryder Seppala, Randon Seppala, Ted Seppala, Angelica Seppala, Jenny Seppala, and Shiana Seppala all of Lake Norden, SD; nine brothers: William (Janis) Seppala of New Ipswich, NH, Mark (Kathy) Seppala, Bradley (Tracy) Seppala, and Richard Seppala all of Rindge, NH, Kent Seppala and Gordon (Kris) Seppala all of Ashby, MA, Walter (Sue) Seppala of Rindge, NH, Marty (Tara) Seppala of Hazel, SD, and Steven (Stephanie) Seppala of Rindge, NH; seven sisters: Cheryl (Paul) Matson of Battle Ground WA, Tanya (Wally) Matson of Yacolt, WA, Kara (Carl) Traffie of New Ipswich, NH, Deanna (Matt) Olson of Rindge, NH, Kristin (Paul) Seppanen of Vienna, SD, Mari (Stephen) Traffie of New Ipswich, NH, and Peggy Seppala of Ashby, MA; 16 grandchildren; and his father, Theodore, of Ashby, MA. He was preceded in death by one grandson and his mother.
